Former CSKA and Zenit player Maksim Bokov, who is currently coaching a youth team, shared his thoughts on the failed transfer of Sergey Pinyaev. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
CSKA offered 9.7 million euros to Lokomotiv for this player, but Pinyaev rejected the offer, aiming to continue his career at a foreign club. According to Bokov, there is no need for Pinyaev at CSKA, as Glebov is already fulfilling a similar role in the team.
He emphasized that Glebov is functionally similar to Pinyaev and stated that there is no logic in making additional expenses. Last season, the 20-year-old forward played in 38 matches, scoring 11 goals and providing 8 assists.
These results are considered good indicators for his age. Thus, Pinyaev's desire to move to a foreign club and his rejection of CSKA's offer became an important step in his professional development.
