Aleksandr Tukmanov, the former president of the Moscow "Torpedo" football club, expressed his desire to participate in the opening ceremony of the new stadium. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He emphasized that he dreams of seeing the stadium and witnessing this important event. According to Tukmanov, he will only attend the ceremony if invited.
The reconstruction of the "Torpedo" stadium began in the autumn of 2022. It is expected that this work will take approximately four years to complete.
Once the reconstruction is finished, the stadium will be able to accommodate over 15,000 spectators. It is worth noting that last season, the "Torpedo" team was removed from the list of participants in the Russian Premier League.
This decision was made due to the club's management attempting to influence game results by offering money to referees. Currently, the club continues to prepare for the new stadium and future successes.
