Former player and currently coaching at Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad club, Loran Blan shared his thoughts on the Barcelona academy. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, Barcelona has gone through difficult times due to financial and administrative issues. However, young players helped rescue the team from this complex situation.
For Blan, Barcelona has always been a big club with an excellent academy. He refers to the La Masia academy as the heart of the club.
The coach emphasized that without La Masia, Barcelona might not have been able to continue its existence; the club could have disappeared or fallen to a lower level. It was the young players who saved the team.
Talents like Jamal, Pedri, and Gavi will take the club to great heights again. Loran Blan played for Barcelona in the 1996-1997 season, appearing in 28 matches in the Spanish championship and scoring one goal.
In his opinion, the youth are the future and strength of the team.
