Trump will reimpose sanctions on Russia once the oil market stabilizes.

US President Donald Trump announced plans to reimpose sanctions on Russian oil once prices in the global oil market stabilize. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In an interview with NBC, he explained that he wants sufficient oil supplies for the global market, including for his own country. According to the President, the restrictions currently in place during this crisis are temporary, and he emphasized that the previous order will be restored once the situation returns to normal.
Trump's statement was made against the backdrop of global discussions in the energy sector and processes aimed at regulating international trade rules. Through this decision, the US aims to protect its oil reserves and market opportunities.
Previously, the US government had granted a temporary license valid until March 12 for exporting Russian oil and its products. The new license has been extended until April 12, 2026, during which the trade process is expected to continue without restrictions.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent characterized this measure as merely a short-term solution. In his view, these privileges are unlikely to bring significant economic benefits to Moscow, as their primary goal is to help the market overcome volatility.
From Russia, Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov noted that the number of countries interested in purchasing Russian oil is increasing as a result of the US easing some restrictions. These events highlight the balance between complex actions aimed at meeting global energy needs, addressing the geopolitical situation, and ensuring stability in the global oil market.
It remains unclear how oil prices and international relations will develop in the future, but currently, both sides are striving to protect their interests.
