The CSKA team in Moscow is planning to purchase a young striker from the Brazilian championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The discussion is about Mateus Gonsalves from the Flamengo club. An internal source, Ivan Karpov, announced this on his social media pages.
According to reports, the "red-blue" team is considering the striker as an alternative to the failed transfers of Sergey Pinyayev and Lechi Sadulaev. CSKA has not yet sent an official offer to the Flamengo club, but initial negotiations between the clubs have already been completed.
Additionally, Gonsalves has also attracted interest from Cruzeiro club. Flamengo is asking for at least 8 million euros for the Brazilian player, while CSKA is trying to acquire the 19-year-old striker at a lower price.
Last season, Mateus played in 18 matches for Flamengo, scoring 5 goals and providing one assist. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is 5 million euros.
