Rashid Rahimov, the head coach of the "Rubin" team, commented to the "Match TV" channel after the game against "Zenit". This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He emphasized that the team played well in the second half, but at the same time acknowledged that some mistakes occurred. In particular, he noted the inappropriate actions that led to the penalty and the lack of sufficient caution in defense.
According to Rahimov, during the game, the defenders positioned themselves incorrectly, creating opportunities for the opponent to attack. These mistakes resulted in goals scored by the "Zenit" team as punishment.
In the second half, the team changed its tactics, placing more emphasis on attack. Central midfielder Yochich played more actively in his position, energizing the game.
When evaluating his current level of preparation, the head coach stated that he is not yet ready for a full 90-minute game. Yochich recently recovered from injury and needs time to fully adapt to the rhythm of the game.
Additionally, the coach commented on the presence of Ro‘jkov playing as a left central defender among the defenders. He mentioned that he is not seen as a permanent player in this position, only helping the team when necessary.
Rahimov highlighted that the players' enthusiasm for the game and their self-confidence are the team's strengths. He specifically noted that they fully perform their duties when they step onto the field.
Overall, the coach stated that he was satisfied with the team's performance in the second half and expressed his intention to reduce mistakes in future games.
