27-year-old Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale may change clubs and return to the English Premier League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to journalist Kit Down, Ramsdale is currently in negotiations with the Newcastle team regarding a transfer. The goalkeeper previously worked with Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe while playing for Bournemouth.
Howe has shown interest in Ramsdale since last summer, but a deal did not materialize at that time. Last season, Ramsdale played 30 matches in the English Premier League for Southampton.
At the end of the season, the club was relegated from the elite and headed to the Championship. This situation increased the likelihood of the goalkeeper leaving the team.
Thus, Ramsdale may have the opportunity to move to Newcastle and play in the Premier League again. This transfer is expected to be beneficial for both parties.
