Anri Chichinadze, a player of the Orenburg team, explained how he received the news about the team's return to the Russian Premier League (RPL) and the reasons why he considers this decision fair. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The Orenburg team took the place of the Torpedo team eight days before the start of the season. Torpedo was penalized by the Russian Football Union for attempting to bribe referees.
Chichinadze emphasized that Orenburg's place in the top league cannot be called unjust and stated that the team's return is a great source of motivation. The footballer mentioned in an interview with the "Match Premier" television channel that they received this news very positively during lunch at the Moscow gathering, learning that they would play in the RPL.
He highlighted that it is a great happiness and additional motivation for the club. In the first round of the new season, Orenburg played a draw against CSKA at home, with a score of 0:0.
A week later, the team led by Vladimir Slishkovich recorded another draw at home against Makhachkala Dynamo with a score of 1:1. Thus, the Orenburg team is showing good performance in the new season and is striving to maintain its place in the top league.
