Forward Fyodor Smolov may play for the Broke Boys media club in the Russia Fonbet Cup. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to team leader Dmitriy Egorov, Smolov has expressed interest in participating in the competition. Egorov stated that Smolov will not be able to participate in the match on August 6, as he will be on a trip.
However, if the team defeats the "Oryol" team, there is a possibility that he will play in the next round. Next week, on August 6, the Broke Boys team will face "Oryol" in the first round of the regional path.
Last year, Broke Boys defeated Obninsk's "Kvant" team in the first round, but lost to Dzerzhinsk's "Himik" team in the second round. Fyodor Smolov has not been affiliated with any club since the end of last season.
Previously, the 35-year-old forward left the "Krasnodar" team, with which he became the champion of Russia. Now Smolov is looking for opportunities to sign a contract with a new team.
