Panenka: My penalty style is not disrespect, it is creativity

Czech football legend Antonin Panenka has stated that the penalty style named after him, the "Panenka," is not meant to humiliate the opponent. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He first used this style in the final of the 1976 European Championship. Commenting on his decision at that time, Panenka emphasized that his main goal was not to mock the opponent but to score a goal.
This was reported by euro-football.ru. In an interview with Cadena SER radio's El Larguero program, Antonin Panenka said that during the final match he was only thinking about scoring a goal.
“I love football and never wanted to laugh at anyone. In that situation, I considered this style the most reliable way to win,” he said.
Additionally, Panenka commented on Braim Dias missing a goal with a "Panenka" style shot in the Africa Cup of Nations final. At the same time, he believes that such a style on the football field expresses creativity and skill.
