Former captain of the "Spartak" team, ex-captain Egor Titov expressed his opinion about the team's head coach Deyan Stankovich. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
When asked by Titov whether he considers the decision to extend the contract with Stankovich in the spring to be wrong, he responded. In his opinion, there should be stability in the team, as replacing coaches after every defeat does not lead to the team's development and results in a constant cycle.
Stankovich should continue his work, as full responsibility lies with him and his staff. They will analyze their mistakes and draw the necessary conclusions.
According to Titov, it is especially important to see improvements in the team before the match against "Zenit." "Spartak" will face "Zenit" at home on August 16.
Before that, Stankovich's team will play matches against "Rostov" and "Dinamo" (Makhachkala) in the Russia Cup, as well as against "Akron" and "Lokomotiv" in the Russian Premier League. These matches are expected to influence the team's upcoming results.
