Uzbekistan U-21 and U-19 national teams reached the semifinals of the IHF Cup
The group stage of the International Handball Federation (IHF) Cup, held in Prishtina, Kosovo, between the U-19 youth and U-21 teams, has concluded. The Uzbekistan U-21 and U-19 national teams successfully participated in the competition and advanced to the semifinals.

U-21: Uzbekistan – Rwanda

The U-21 national team faced Rwanda in Group "B". In the first half, the representatives of East Africa had the upper hand, with a score of 18:20. In the second half, the Rwanda team maintained their initiative, and as a result, the match ended with a score of 40:32 in their favor.

Thus, the Uzbekistan U-21 national team secured second place in the group and advanced to the semifinals. Now our compatriots will compete against the leader of Group "A", Bulgaria, for a place in the final.

U-19: Uzbekistan – USA

The U-19 youth team faced the USA team in Group "B". In a tense clash to determine the first place in the group, both teams fought evenly. The first half ended with a score of 15:15, while in the second half, the Uzbek youth won by a single point, finishing with a score of 33:32.

This result brought our U-19 national team to the semifinals. Now our young handball players will compete against the Nigeria team for a place in the final.

Qualification and final matches

According to the organizers, the semifinals, third-place matches, and final games will take place on March 15-16. The winning teams in both age categories will have the right to participate in this year's World Championship.
