He stated that he considers retiring when young players start scoring twice as many goals as he does. Dzeko's comments were cited in an Italian sports publication.
This summer, 39-year-old Edin Dzeko joined the "Fiorentina" team participating in the Italian championship. Prior to this, he played for two seasons at Turkey's "Fenerbahce" club.
In the last season, Dzeko played a total of 53 matches, scoring 21 goals and providing 8 assists. In the first round of the upcoming season, "Fiorentina" will play away against the "Cagliari" team.
