Sobolev: It is too early to assess the table

Alexander Sobolev, a forward for the St. Petersburg "Zenit" football club, shared his thoughts on the tournament table at the start of the 2025-2026 season of the Russian championship. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Currently, the first place is held by the capital team "Lokomotiv." "Lokomotiv" is the only club that has won all matches so far without losing any points.

According to Alexander Sobolev, it is too early to pay serious attention to the tournament table. He emphasized that, especially since only three rounds have passed, the current results cannot serve as a basis for drawing final conclusions.

In Sobolev's words, it would be appropriate to evaluate the tournament table only after at least 26-27 rounds have been played. Therefore, the player stated that it is necessary not to make deep assessments of the results at this time.

For reference, in the third round of the Russian Premier League, "Zenit" played a 1:1 draw at home against Moscow's "CSKA." Following this result, "Zenit," under the leadership of Sergey Semak, is currently in sixth place in the tournament table with five points accumulated.
