Filtsov: Goalkeeper mistakes are a natural occurrence, patience is needed

Former capital "Lokomotiv" team's goalkeeper Aleksandr Filtsov commented on the performances of his colleague Evgeniy Latyshonok. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

Latyshonok has been playing for the "Zenit" team since last year. According to Filtsov, if a goalkeeper makes a mistake once, people who are not well-versed in the profession will discuss that mistake for a long time.

Filtsov emphasized that making mistakes is a normal situation; every person, including goalkeepers, has the right to make mistakes. He also noted that Latyshonok had a good season last year.

In his opinion, it is necessary to look at long-term results to evaluate a player's performance. Currently, Latyshonok's team is in seventh place in the league table.

This season, the goalkeeper has played in three matches and conceded four goals. Filtsov believes that it is not right to assess a player's potential based on one or two mistakes.
