Roma and Manchester City clubs are continuing negotiations regarding attacking midfielder Klaudio Echeverri. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The Rome club wants to loan the 19-year-old player. In the previous offer, the "wolves" had proposed 25 million euros for the right to buy the player, but this amount was not sufficient for Manchester City, and the offer was rejected.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma has now improved the offer. It states that the option to buy the player has been increased to 33 million euros, and Manchester City will have the right of first refusal to buy the player back.
In this case, the English club can buy the player back for 40 million euros. Girona had also previously shown interest in Klaudio Echeverri.
However, the Argentine player rejected the Catalans' offer and expressed his desire to move to Roma. It is worth noting that at the beginning of 2024, Manchester City purchased Echeverri from River Plate for 18.5 million euros.
Currently, negotiations are ongoing regarding the possibility of the player's transfer to Roma.
