Famous Russian coach Stanislav Cherchesov has been appointed as the head coach of the Grozny football team “Akhmat”. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This became known on August 5, after Aleksandr Storozhuk resigned. According to reports circulating on social media, the 61-year-old specialist will receive a salary of 1.3 million euros per year.
The labor contract between the club and the coach is planned for three seasons. “Akhmat” has suffered consecutive defeats in the first three matches of the new season.
The team has started the new phase of the Russian championship unsuccessfully and is currently in 13th place in the tournament table. These results forced the club's management to change the coach.
Stanislav Cherchesov previously managed the Russian national team and is known for his experience. His activity at “Akhmat” is expected to help improve the team's results.
The club management is expecting positive changes from the new coach. Fans hope that under Cherchesov's leadership, the team will achieve high results.
