The president of the Grozny city football club "Akmat," Yakub Zakriyev, expressed his opinion regarding the appointment of Stanislav Cherchesov as the head coach of the club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Zakriyev, reaching an agreement between the club management and the new coach, and Cherchesov joining the "Akmat" team as the head coach is considered an important event for the club. He emphasized that the main task at present is for the coaching staff and players to focus on collecting as many points as possible.
So far, only three rounds have been played, and there is an opportunity to improve the team's results. According to Zakriyev, the team can change the situation positively in the upcoming matches.
Zakriyev stated that he expects the "Akmat" club to be at the top of the league table by the end of the season. For this, the team has an experienced coaching staff, cohesive players, and stability within the club.
These factors create a foundation for "Akmat" to achieve good results. For reference, the previous head coach, Alexander Storozhuk, led "Akmat" to four consecutive official match defeats.
In these matches, the team lost with an overall score of 2:7. Stanislav Cherchesov had previously coached the "Akmat" club from 2011 to 2013.
