Former head coach of the "Rostov" football club Anatoliy Baydachniy expressed his opinion about the appointment of the team's new head coach. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
It is known that after Valeriy Karpin left "Rostov" in February, Jonatan Alba was appointed as the head coach in his place. Alba had previously worked in the team as an analyst.
Anatoliy Baydachniy emphasized that this decision surprised him. In his interview, Baydachniy said: “I do not understand how Valeriy Karpin agreed to Jonatan Alba becoming the head coach.
I have great respect for Karpin, but this is a very strange decision. Jonatan Alba has never been a player and has not coached before.
He has always only worked as an analyst. Therefore, he is currently unable to show good results.” Currently, "Rostov" is in 14th place in the league table after three rounds in the Russian Premier League.
Jonatan Alba's team lost in the first three matches of the championship. They were defeated by "Zenit" 1:2, "Dinamo" 0:1, and "Krylya Sovetov" 1:4.
At the moment, Jonatan Alba is preparing "Rostov" for the next match. The team will face "Pari NN" in the next round of the Premier League.
The match will take place on August 10, Sunday.
