Flights in the Middle East Stopped: 1681 Uzbeks Left Behind

The escalation of the political and military situation in the Middle East has become a major challenge for global aviation. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Due to the closure of airspaces by countries in the region, many Uzbeks have been stranded abroad. Our country's leadership has launched a large-scale operation to resolve this issue.
The Zamin.uz website provides detailed information about the situation and important updates for citizens. Currently, the skies of countries such as Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq, Iran, Israel, and the UAE have been deemed unsafe for flights, and air traffic has been suspended for various durations.
This has completely disrupted the international flight schedule. Since February 28, flights on routes to Dubai, Sharjah, Jeddah, and Tel Aviv have been canceled, leaving 1681 Uzbeks unable to return home.
Following the President's directive, a special headquarters was established under the Ministry of Transport and the "Uzaviatsiya" agency. Specialists are conducting round-the-clock negotiations with foreign aviation authorities and taking measures to bring citizens back through safe corridors.
To date, 4948 passengers have been returned home via 21 special flights. Additionally, 235 more compatriots have safely arrived in Uzbekistan from Dubai.
The process is ongoing, and additional flights are being planned to bring back the remaining passengers. Warning to citizens: Beware of fraudsters.
Do not trust unreliable intermediaries and rely only on official sources. You can contact the "Uzaviatsiya" agency's Call Center (24/7) in case of any issues: +998 (78) 120-00-72, +998 (71) 200-07-65.
The government of Uzbekistan is responsible for the safety of every citizen.
