Guardiola: We focused on training instead of friendly matches

According to him, this decision was made to better prepare the team for the new season. During the current pre-season period, Manchester City will play only one game.

On August 13, the English club will face the Italian team "Palermo." This will be the team's only friendly match during this pre-season period.

A week later, on August 16, Manchester City will start its first official match against "Wolverhampton" in the English Premier League. According to Guardiola, the team members are feeling good and are focusing seriously on training.

"We decided to skip friendly matches because the players needed to rest. We also considered it important to prepare thoroughly for official games.

For this reason, we decided to allocate more time to training," said the head coach. It is worth noting that last season, Manchester City finished third in the English Premier League.

The team is preparing for three upcoming official matches against "Wolverhampton," "Tottenham," and "Brighton." Guardiola's team is striving for high results in the new season.
