Famous former footballer Eden Hazard mentioned the strongest opponent he faced during his career. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Belgian national team member Eden Hazard specifically highlighted England's “Manchester City” as the strongest rival in his interview. He recalled his matches against this team, emphasizing that “Manchester City” under the leadership of Josep Guardiola played at a very high level from 2017 to 2019.
According to Hazard, it was very difficult to face “Manchester City” during that time, as the opponent hardly gave the ball to others and there was no opportunity to gain possession during the game. Hazard noted that he never played against “Barcelona” led by Lionel Messi, but acknowledged that “Manchester City” under Guardiola was one of the strongest teams.
It is worth mentioning that Eden Hazard played for London’s “Chelsea” from 2012 to 2019. After that, he moved to Madrid’s “Real” but was unable to fully showcase himself due to injuries.
Hazard retired from professional football in 2023.
