Former midfielder of Moscow's "Spartak" team, Aleksandr Mostovoy, once again shared his thoughts about the former head coach of the "red-whites," Guillermo Abaskal. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Aleksandr Mostovoy, the Spanish specialist often comes under criticism. He stated that Russia was a great opportunity for Abaskal.
In Mostovoy's opinion, Abaskal has earned a good income in a short time, and this situation has helped him gain experience. Mostovoy also suggested that if Abaskal truly wants to work on himself and acquire new knowledge, he could be sent to one of the teams in the Russian First League, such as "SKA-Khabarovsk."
It has been reported that after facing difficulties in the 2025-2026 season, the "Spartak" team expressed Abaskal's desire to work in Russia again. He is currently active as the head coach of Mexico's "Atletico San Luis" club.
In Mostovoy's view, Abaskal is trying to apply the experience he gained in Russia in other countries as well. At the same time, the specialist's activities and future plans remain in the spotlight of the football community.
