Former famous football player Alexander Mostovoy expressed his opinion on the news about the introduction of salary restrictions for players in the Russian Premier League. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
He emphasized that excessively high salaries for players should not be allowed. According to Mostovoy, the increase in salaries has caused the current problems.
He stated that players in the Russian championship are paid more than their actual value. For this reason, many players strive to earn easy money in this championship.
Mostovoy also mentioned that there are many players in Russia who do not deserve high salaries. He believes that simply increasing a player's salary does not improve their performance on the field.
Paying a player a high salary may not positively impact their actions on the field. According to Mostovoy, for real competition and quality play in the championship, it is essential to set salaries at a reasonable level.
