Jose Blesa, who works as a nutritionist for the CSKA football team, shared his thoughts on the players' diet. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Earlier, the team's midfielder Kirill Glebov mentioned that players were prohibited from consuming meat, but the head of the press service, Kirill Breydo, denied this information. According to Jose Blesa, there has been a misunderstanding regarding this matter.
He stated that CSKA players consume meat on regular days of the week, but certain restrictions are followed before a game. Blesa emphasized that consuming red meat the day before a game is not the best choice.
This is because, at that time, players mainly consume protein and easily digestible products. However, on other days of the week, meat is included in their diet.
It is worth noting that last weekend, CSKA defeated the Rubin team 5:1 at home. The team will play its next match on Tuesday against Akron in the Fonbet Russian Cup away.
After that, CSKA is looking forward to the city derby against Dynamo in the Premier League.
