Former Moscow "Dynamo" and "Torpedo" team midfielder Igor Semshov stated that Krasnodar forward Eduard Spertsyan currently does not want to move to England's "Southampton" club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
It was previously known that the "Southampton" team offered 12 million euros to Krasnodar for the forward and the clubs were close to an agreement. According to Semshov, Spertsyan's level deserves a slightly higher league.
He emphasized that compared to the English Premier League, the Championship league level is lower. He also said that before moving to this club, the season continues until winter and it is necessary to play the World Cup qualifying matches which are important for the team.
The player himself recently announced that he intends to accept the "Southampton" offer and negotiate with club president Sergey Galitskiy. This decision should be made taking into account the player's future and the team's needs.
