A rule was introduced against the early departure of young football players in Argentina

The Argentine Football Association has introduced a new rule to prevent young football players from local clubs from leaving abroad too early. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by The Athletic and euro-football.ru. According to the new regulation, if a player transfers abroad without signing a professional contract with an Argentine club, they will not be called up to the national team.
The main purpose of this rule is to protect young players from early transfers and to ensure their development primarily within the local football system. According to the "patria potestad" law in effect in Argentina, parents have the right to transfer their children to foreign clubs without compensation.
However, the new rule serves to deter young players and their families from making such decisions by risking the loss of the opportunity to play for the national team. It is noted that if this rule had been in effect earlier, players like Lionel Messi, Emiliano Martinez, and other current stars might have been forced to choose foreign national teams.
Therefore, this rule is considered an important step aimed at retaining talent in Argentine football.
