
The Uzbekistan national team is making victorious strides in the **World Championship (IV Division)** for adults taking place in Yerevan. So far, our team has played 3 matches, recording 2 victories and 1 defeat, and has secured the top position in the tournament table.
Round 1: Kuwait — 3:13
In the first match, the Uzbek hockey players performed very confidently against the Kuwait team. The large victory of 13:3 further boosted the team's confidence.
Round 2: Armenia — 3:2 (through penalties)
The match against the host Armenia was intense and dramatic. The main time ended with a score of 2:2, but luck was on the side of the Armenians in the penalty shootout. Nevertheless, 1 point was recorded for Uzbekistan.
Round 3: Iran — 0:20
The strongest victory in the competition was recorded against Iran with a score of 20:0. This was not only the first "shutout" game in the competition but also in the history of Uzbek hockey.
With 87 shots, Pavel Sinyavskiy and Vadim Kravchenko scored 4 goals each, while Vasiliy Jilov rose to second place in the rankings with 14 points (2 goals, 12 assists).

Opportunities in the tournament
With 7 points accumulated from 3 matches, Uzbekistan is currently the leader of the table. There are two more matches left —
- April 17 — Indonesia
- April 19 — Malaysia
If our team wins both matches in regular time, Uzbekistan will advance to Division III B.
Interestingly, the favored Armenia lost to Kuwait in overtime with a score of 4:5 in the 3rd round, reducing their chances.
