
Recently, two more national teams secured their spots for the 2026 World Cup. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The tournament will be jointly hosted next summer by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. From Africa, the national teams of Senegal and Ivory Coast won their groups and qualified for the competition.
Thus, 28 teams participating in the World Cup have already been confirmed. The competition will feature national teams from Canada, Mexico, the USA, Japan, New Zealand, Iran, Argentina, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Jordan, Australia, Brazil, Ecuador, Uruguay, Colombia, Paraguay, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Ghana, Cape Verde, South Africa, Qatar, England, Saudi Arabia, Ivory Coast, and Senegal.
Currently, the battle for the remaining 20 World Cup spots continues. The majority of these, 15 in total, will be allocated to representatives of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).
So far, only the England national team from UEFA has successfully passed the qualifying stage. Overall, UEFA teams will occupy a total of 16 places in the World Cup.
