The head of the press service of the Uzbekistan Football Association and famous football commentator Davron Fayziyev shared an interesting story related to Manchester City club and our national team defender Abduqodir Husanov in the "90minut" podcast.
During the conversation in the podcast, Fayziyev shared his impressions about which player Abduqodir found it most challenging to compete against in the return match against Real Madrid in the Champions League playoff stage.
The journalist asked the Uzbek defender: "You faced stars like Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe, and Jude Bellingham at the Madrid club. Which player posed the most difficulty for you?".
Despite having faced Mbappe and Vinicius several times during the game, Husanov did not mention either of them. His response surprised Fayziyev a bit:
“In fact, all three are strong players, but the most difficult to play against was Jude Bellingham. Because Bellingham is very physically strong, competing with him and stopping him required a lot of effort,” Abduqodir replied.
It is worth noting that Abduqodir Husanov joined the English champions Manchester City from the French club Lens during the winter transfer window. The Uzbek player has played 9 matches in all competitions for the "Citizens" so far, managing to score one goal. Husanov quickly caught the attention of City fans with his strong performances and earned the trust of the coaches.
