“Dinamo” lost to “Zenit” but gained experience

According to Vadim Abramov, head coach of Samarkand's Dinamo team, the friendly match against one of Russia's strong clubs — Zenit — provided important lessons. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In the match held in Abu Dhabi, although Dinamo put up a worthy resistance against the opponent, the result ended 1-0 in favor of Zenit. Vadim Abramov expressed satisfaction with the team's performance in the first half.
The team defended in an organized manner and acted confidently in attack. However, the failure to convert the chances created in the second half was noted as the team's main shortcoming.
Abramov emphasized that the team itself is to blame for the loss in this game, and there is no need to look for excuses for the defeat. The coach also paid attention to refereeing issues, stating that the referees' decisions in the match were illogical for both sides.
He also noted that if the opportunities in the first half had been used effectively, the result could have been completely different. It was acknowledged that the high status of the opponent affected the players' morale, and sometimes this factor negatively influenced the outcome.
In this match, Abramov gave young players wide opportunities in the second half. He explained this decision as an important practice for the team to be ready to play against stronger opponents in the future.
The coach stressed that such games are very important in determining the lineup, and the main squad will be formed by the first round match scheduled for February 28. In conclusion, Dinamo lost this game but returned with valuable experience.
The team reviewed its strengths and weaknesses, and young players were given a chance to showcase themselves. The coach viewed this game as a major diagnostic tool to assess the team's capabilities.
The main goal now is to turn these conclusions into practical results.
