Bubnov: National team training camps are a waste of time and money

Football expert Aleksandr Bubnov shared his opinions on the recent friendly matches and training camps of the Russian national team. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by euro-football.ru. According to Bubnov, under the current circumstances, holding national team training camps has no practical benefit.
In his view, once international competitions are allowed, at least two years of preparation will still be necessary. Therefore, the current training camps are a waste of time and money.
The expert emphasized that the team's ranking issue is also insignificant, as it cannot rise to higher positions and will remain among the weaker teams. Bubnov believes that some players being tested in the current squad may not have the opportunity to participate in competitions in the future.
He also criticized the Russian Football Union (RFU) for overspending on the training camps. Bubnov stated that it would be more appropriate to direct these funds towards the development of youth football.
He expressed these views on the "Komment.Shoy" channel.
