Norway won 17 gold medals at the Winter Olympics

The Norwegian national team achieved great success at the Winter Olympic Games taking place in Italy. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
At the competition hosted by Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Norwegian athletes set a new record with 17 gold medals. This result also surpassed their previous achievement: at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, Norway led with 16 gold medals.
Additionally, the team has 9 silver and 10 bronze medals. These figures clearly placed Norway in the lead in the overall standings.
In the unofficial overall team ranking, Norway maintains its leadership. Strong competition for the next positions is observed between the USA and the host Italy.
The results of each country are regularly updated in the official Olympic medal table. Norwegian skier Johannes Høsflot Klæbo received special attention at this Olympics.
He became a 10-time Olympic champion, becoming one of the athletes with the most gold medals in the history of the Winter Games. Through this, Klæbo surpassed his compatriots — Bjørn Dæhlie, Marit Bjørgen, and Ole Einar Bjørndalen — legendary athletes.
Each of them had previously won 8 gold medals in past competitions. The Winter Olympic Games will conclude on February 22.
Based on this, the possibility of new records being set still exists. However, even now, this Olympics will be remembered for Norway not only as a period of medal collection but also as an era of historic achievements.
