
The second round of the World Boxing Organization Cup has started in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. The prestigious competition, taking place from May 10 to 17 at the famous COS Torwar sports arena in Warsaw, features the Uzbekistan national team with 9 skilled boxers.

Yesterday, on May 12, members of the Uzbekistan boxing team successfully started their participation in the international arena. During the day, 3 Uzbek boxers entered the ring, leaving no chances for their opponents and achieving significant victories.
First, in the -60 kg weight category, Samandar Olimov faced the host country's representative, Michael Akoto-Ampav. Samandar conducted the fight very confidently and won with a unanimous decision of all judges, 5:0, advancing to the quarter-finals.
Then, Asadxo‘ja Mo‘ydinxo‘jayev, who tried his luck in the -65 kg weight category, also stepped into the ring against his Swedish opponent Hampus Bromang. Asadxo‘ja held the fight at a high pace, distinguishing himself with precise and powerful punches in each round. As a result, he won with a unanimous decision of the judges, 5:0, and secured a place in the next round.
One of the most impressive and surprising fights of the evening was that of Jahongir Zokirov in the heavyweight (+92 kg) category. He showcased a fierce and intense fight against his Polish opponent Oskar Koper, winning confidently by technical knockout in the second round, proving that he is a serious contender in the tournament.
For your information, the first round of this cup organized by the World Boxing Organization took place from March 31 to April 5 in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil. In this tournament, the Uzbekistan national team achieved excellent results, securing first place in the overall standings.
