"This is a disaster!" - The president of "Atletico" was upset with the season
Madrid's “Atletico” club is currently in 3rd place in the league table ahead of the final round of La Liga, but club president Enrique Cerezo does not consider this result satisfactory. Although the team has collected 73 points, the official labeled the season as a “disaster”.
“Three opportunities — three defeats”
According to Cerezo, the team had several real chances to win trophies during the season but squandered all of them:
“We had three opportunities to win titles, but we couldn't achieve any of them. As a result, we ended up in 3rd place. This can only be expressed in one word — disaster.”
Problems with priorities and haste
The club president acknowledged that luck turned against them in some matches, but emphasized that the main reason was the team's very weak performance at times:
“In some areas, we acted very poorly. The team was in the right shape from start to finish, but we often lost our way.”
Cerezo's open criticism
