At the 26th Asian Championship in Athletics held in the city of Gumi, South Korea, athletes from 43 countries participated. The Uzbekistan national team also participated commendably, winning 2 silver and 1 bronze medal.
The athletes who brought honor to the country were ceremoniously welcomed in Tashkent. A special ceremony was organized in their honor. Our heroes were greeted by a group of officials led by Otabek Choriyev, Deputy Chairman of the Uzbekistan Athletics Federation, representatives from the Customs Committee and the Federation, staff from the Higher School of Sports Mastery, coaches, and relatives of the athletes.
This achievement by Uzbekistan athletes is undoubtedly noted as a result of the attention given to athletics in our country.
