"City" has taken 2 of Klopp's assistants – Guardiola's staff is being renewed

Manchester City's head coach Josep Guardiola has decided to strengthen his coaching staff ahead of the new season. According to the club's official website, two new assistants have joined the Spanish specialist — Pepijn Lijnders and James Frans.

Both have been key members of the coaching staff under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool in recent years. In particular, Lijnders has significant experience as one of Klopp's main assistants. Now he will also become Guardiola's right-hand man at City.

James Frans will work as a specialist in modern training methods, focusing on standards. His role will involve working on the team's positional play, actions in set pieces, and tactical structure.

These changes indicate that Pep Guardiola is determined to achieve high results in the new season. The head coach, who has won the English championship several times, is also utilizing former rival team specialists to make his staff even more effective.

It is worth noting that Lijnders and Frans played a significant role in winning numerous trophies during their time at Liverpool. Now they are expected to apply their knowledge and experience for the benefit of the "Citizens" at the Etihad.
