Joan Laporta criticized Real Madrid's actions against Barcelona

The rivalry between the two leading teams of Spanish football — Barcelona and Real Madrid — has become extremely intense even off the pitch. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta sharply condemned the recent actions of the Madrid club, calling them baseless attempts aimed at diverting attention. According to information distributed by the Mundo Deportivo publication, Laporta strongly criticized such behavior by the rival club.
The main reason for this disagreement is related to a special report submitted by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to the European football association. The Madrid side is demanding severe penalties against Barcelona regarding the Negreira case.
However, Joan Laporta emphasized in his statement that these attempts will not yield the expected result and expressed confidence that the international organization is assessing the situation impartially. According to the Catalan leader, the Real Madrid management is using this sensational topic to hide its own internal crises.
Specifically, he pointed out the difficulties in the Madrid club's process of becoming a joint-stock company and the logistical problems surrounding their home stadium. Laporta accused the opposing side of deliberately prolonging the issue to justify illogical actions.
The Barcelona president considers the multi-page documents prepared by Real Madrid to be mere window dressing. According to him, the opposing side has failed to provide a single clear and irrefutable piece of evidence during the court proceedings.
Barcelona, in turn, stated that it has submitted all necessary documents and is fully prepared to legally prove its innocence. The complete deterioration of relations between the two clubs was also fueled by Florentino Perez's claims that some of the championship titles within La Liga were allegedly won unfairly.
Laporta completely rejected these accusations and stated that if the Madrid club does not stop its baseless claims, Barcelona will go to court to protect its honor. Currently, relations between the clubs are almost severed.
Previously, Florentino Perez also admitted that relations with Barcelona have been damaged beyond repair. This conflict is expected to continue not only on the green field but also in the legal and political arenas.
The European football association is not rushing to draw a final conclusion yet, but Laporta believes the organization will make a fair decision.
