Iran Promises Cash Reward for Capture of U.S. Soldiers

Iran has announced large monetary rewards for individuals who capture or neutralize US military personnel who have invaded the country's territory. One.uz reports this.
According to information provided by the Iranian state news agency, this decision was made by the country's defense system based on numerous citizen Contentsappeals. The official statement says that material incentives in the amount of tens of thousands of dollars are intended for individuals involved in the capture of foreign military personnel.
As emphasized by Iranian army commander Major General Amir Hotami, if US military personnel illegally cross the Iranian border, any person who captures or neutralizes one of them will be awarded a reward of $30,000. Interestingly, the military leadership has set the reward amount twice as high, i.e., $60,000, for similar actions carried out by women.
So far, specific mechanisms regarding which sources these payments will come from and how they will be implemented have not been disclosed.
