Argentina beat Misrni to reach the quarter-finals

The heated clash between Argentina and Egypt during the quarterfinal stage of the World Championship sparked major controversy, as reported by Zamin.uz.
The reigning world champions, Argentina, secured a 3-2 victory to advance to the semifinals, but Egypt's team strongly protested the officiating.
According to Goal.com, Egypt's head coach Hossam Hassan claimed his team fell victim to systematic injustice during a post-match interview.
He alleged that referees and tournament organizers influenced the game to ensure Lionel Messi could continue playing, stating that external pressures had a greater impact than on-field tactics.
Egypt's objections centered on two key incidents: first, a goal disallowed in their favor, and second, an alleged foul before Enzo Fernandez's winning goal late in the match.
Hossam Hassan said that although Alexis Mac Allister appeared to pull an opponent's shirt, the VAR system did not review the incident. He insisted that while his team outperformed Argentina in every aspect, the result was altered by factors outside the pitch.
He added that in football, external forces sometimes outweigh technical superiority, and Argentina received support at every level. Egypt also objected to the referee appointment before the match began.
They feared the selected referee might favor Argentina. During the game, no penalty was awarded for a double-team on Mohamed Salah, and the incident was not reviewed—further angering the Egyptian players.
Forward Mostafa Zico echoed the coach's claims, saying strange events unfolded on the field after Egypt took a two-goal lead. Although goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir heroically saved a penalty from Lionel Messi, the final outcome was a heavy blow for the team.
Egypt views the loss as a complete violation of sporting principles.
