RPL leader: Russian teams will return soon

The head of the Russian Premier League, Sergey Pryadkin, announced that he expects Russian teams to return to the international arena in the near future. This was reported by www.euro-football.ru.

According to him, work is currently ongoing in this regard, and clubs as well as the national team are expected to participate in international competitions soon. It should be noted that Russian clubs and national teams have been banned from participating in international tournaments based on decisions made by FIFA and UEFA.

This ban has been in effect since February 2022. As a result, the Russian national team has only been allowed to participate in friendly matches.

In the last friendly match, the team led by Valery Karpin defeated the Belarus national team with a score of 4:1. At the same time, FIFA and UEFA have indicated that Russia is ready to return to the international arena.
