The president of the Russian Football Union, Aleksandr Dyukov, expressed his thoughts on the national team’s games. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Dyukov, the Russian Football Union is ready to organize as many games as possible for the national team. At the same time, the main priority is to play on our home ground.
Discussions are ongoing, and once agreements are reached and the necessary documents are signed, it is planned to announce who the national team will play against in September and October. The most important aspect for us is to play in front of our fans, emphasizes Dyukov. In June of this year, the Russian national team played two matches.
One of them was at home against the Nigerian national team, which ended in a 1:1 draw. The second match was away against the Belarus national team, where the Russian team won 4:1.
During the Belarus trip, all four goals were scored by forward Yaroslav Gladyshev. The last official match was held by the Russian national team in November 2021.
Currently, the team is actively working on organizing new games and intends to showcase themselves in front of fans in many more matches.
