Kiryakov: The Turkish championship is an ideal option for Djikiya

Former Moscow “Dynamo” and Russia national team striker Sergey Kirjakov commented on defender Georgiy Djikiya's transfer to Turkey's “Antalyaspor” club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The 31-year-old player signed a two-year contract with the club. According to Kirjakov, “Antalyaspor” is a very good option for Djikiya.

He deserves to play abroad in the final stage of his career. However, playing abroad is not always easy; it is neither a vacation nor a retirement, emphasized the former striker.

He also added that there are many fast and technically competitive players in the Turkish championship, so it will not be easy for Djikiya. In the 2024/2025 season, the former captain of Moscow “Spartak” will play for the Podmoskovye “Khimki” club, which suspended its activities due to financial difficulties.

Considering his experience and role in the game, it is natural for him to strive to prove himself in the new team. Djikiya's signing of a contract with a foreign club is seen as a new chapter in his professional career.
