The arbitration court rejected the request to initiate bankruptcy proceedings for the "Khimki" football club in the Moscow region. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The club was unable to provide the necessary documents in full and in an official manner, and also could not prove that it had sufficient financial resources to conduct the bankruptcy process, reports "Postnews". Nevertheless, the claim remained unexamined until July 24. If "Khimki" confirms its financial capabilities by this deadline, the court will reconsider the case.
Earlier, the club announced that it had suspended its activities. "Khimki" was unable to obtain a license from the Russian Football Union to participate in the next season of the Russian football league this season. This led to the decision regarding bankruptcy.
The club's main investor, Tufan Sadiyev, is currently under investigation. This situation is negatively affecting the club's operations and complicating its future prospects.
The court's latest decision is a significant turning point for "Khimki," and the club is required to strengthen its financial position.
