Barcelona president Joan Laporta and the club's former head coaches Luis Enrique and Ernesto Valverde will be summoned as witnesses in the investigation into illegal payments made to former RFEF referees technical committee vice-president Jose Negreira. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

According to the investigation, from 2001 to 2018, Negreira received approximately 7.5 million euros from the club for consultancy services. Although the court temporarily suspended the bribery charges in May 2024, the investigation process is ongoing.
