Former midfielder Igor Semshov, who previously played for Moscow's Dynamo and Zenit teams, commented on striker Anton Zabolotniy's transfer to the Spartak club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to Semshov, "Spartak" does not make offers twice. He will come in now and take a place in the starting lineup, he said.
He expressed this opinion jokingly during a broadcast on "Match TV". Zabolotniy previously played for Zenit and CSKA teams.
As his last club, he played for "Khimki" near Moscow. The "Khimki" team ceased operations at the end of last season due to financial difficulties and was placed below tenth in the league table.
Zabolotniy played 29 matches in the Russian Premier League, scoring 6 goals and providing 6 assists. Semshov believes that Zabolotniy's transfer to "Spartak" will be beneficial for the team and that he will immediately find his place in the starting lineup.
This issue has been evaluated differently by many fans and experts, with some supporting it while others view it with skepticism. Nevertheless, Semshov is confident that Zabolotniy will be successful in his new team.
