The "Nerazzurri" were planning to buy the defender during the summer transfer window, but the "Citizens" acted faster than any other team, including "Real Madrid," to secure the player. They paid 40 million euros to "Lance" to persuade them to let Husanov go mid-season.
"Inter" was monitoring Husanov as a replacement for Stefan De Vrij or Francesco Acerbi. The club is planning to bring in a new player to fill the position of one of the experienced defenders. Acerbi, who has struggled with injuries throughout the season, was being considered as the main candidate, but he has been performing at a high level in recent matches.
