This tournament can undoubtedly be called a "strange penalty championship": Uzbekistan was defeated by South Korea, the Koreans were left in the dust by the Saudis, and then the Australians...

Today, in the clash for the main prize, the youth teams of Australia and Saudi Arabia faced off, and during regular time and extra periods, the teams were evenly matched: Agosti opened the scoring in the 24th minute, and Talal Hoji equalized in the 45+2 minute — 1:1.

In the penalty shootout, the Australians had luck on their side, securing the Asian Cup U20 championship.
