Uzbek specialist Leonid Slutskij shared his thoughts on the Club World Championship currently taking place in the USA. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, criticism is a natural phenomenon, especially if his team participates in the competition. Pre-season preparation is very important for the coach, and focusing this process on the Club World Championship is considered incorrect.
Slutskij emphasized that this competition is not widely popular among fans. The current tournament is being held for the first time in a revised format in history.
A total of 32 clubs from all football confederations are participating in the competition. They are divided into 8 groups, each containing 4 teams.
Two teams from each group will advance to the next stage. The final match of the tournament will take place on July 13.
In the final, the English club "Chelsea," the winner of the Conference League, will compete against France's "PSG," the team that has won all trophies this season, including the Champions League.
