Former Dynamo football player Vitaliy Dyakov expressed his thoughts on the level of legionnaires playing in Russian clubs. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, there are not many good legionnaires in our country, and the reasons for this are known. Also, not everyone can find the opportunity to bring them into their team to play.
In recent years, the low level of incoming legionnaires has been emphasized. According to Dyakov, this situation negatively affects the quality of football.
Earlier, there were reports in the media about discussions regarding changing the existing limit on the number of foreign players in Russian football. According to the current rules, a team can have eight legionnaires on the field at the same time.
Additionally, the number of foreign players registered for the season should not exceed 13. This regulation was introduced to improve the quality of players and contribute to the development of national teams.
However, there are opinions that these restrictions are causing various problems in practice. For this reason, football specialists and organizers are reconsidering this issue once again.
